An Income protection plan from protect by Unite the Union ensures that if you become unable to work due to illness, accident or injury you'll still have money coming in. You'll receive a regular monthly cash payment up to a maximum of £2,000 per month, for up to a year after your sick pay stops. Acceptance is guaranteed and it takes just minutes to apply.

Provide for your family ...even if you can't work
  • Replaces part of your income if you are off work due to illness, accident or injury.
  • Pays out a chosen monthly income, up to 65% of your normal gross income (max £2,000 per month)
  • Provides cash payments which kick in if you are off sick for more than 30, 60, 90 or 180 consecutive days. You choose.
  • Provides cash payments which continue for 6, 9 or 12 months in the event of a claim. You choose.
  • Cover until you reach age 70 or until you stop working - whichever happens earlier

What is not covered

If you go off work due to any of the following, you will not be covered:

  • A medical condition you have suffered from / seen a doctor about in the past 2 years.
  • Normal pregnancy
  • Back ache – without x ray evidence
  • Excess consumption of alcohol
  • Use of illegal drugs
  • Certain dangerous pastimes such as rock climbing, parachuting or motor racing

No payment will be made if you become unable to work due to sickness within 30 days of your policy start date. For full explanation of the terms and conditions please read the Policy Documents carefully.
